 Praise God for the International Day Of Peace 2006
I would like to tell you that we Opened our Pakistan CLM Pentecostal Church for Peace prayers for the whole day & many people came for pray, bringing flowers & candles.
We put on a Peace rally with lots of Children with Peace Banner & Candles outside the Church, & after the rally we had a wonderful Peace prayer & messages in the Church.
Mr. Ilyas Javed (Advocate), Pastor Babar, Vishal Chaughtai (Youth Leader of PCLM), Raqia Ajmal (Secretary of Pakistan CLM Church) & myself, Pastor Ajmal Chaughtai shared Peace love with the people & did pray for all over the World & told to People about great work of the World Peace Prayer Society.

1. Meditation and Prayers
The Executive Members of Tehreek Taqaraq-E-Insaniate-CC
and Community members of the Gulberg meet at the Head Office on 20.9.2006 at 10.00 P.M. Mrs. Yuel Bhatti welcome all members the refreshment was served.
Mr. Naeem Akhtar Raja (PDF Muslim Friend) and Mr. Yuel Bhatti explain about the International Day of Peace and need of the event and stress how is need of Peace in such critical position of the world. Mr. Yuel told that when I watch the T.V. mostly I disappointed when I saw many people killed in Iraq, Kashmir, Palestine previously in Lebanon and Israel. How it is great need of Prayer and meditation that war must be stop, as War is not the Solution of Peace. We must understand the other religion and respect the other religion. Tolerance, acceptance must out Motto. Pastor Asif Arthur Led the Prayer in Christian Faith and Mr. Naeem Akhtar Raja Led Prayer in Muslim Faith.
 2. Interfaith Children Peace Education and Walk
One 21.9.2006 at 10.00A.M. Peace Day event held at the St.Peter’s Cambridge 126-M.Gulberg-3, and the daffodils Gulberg--Lahore to gather. Lahore. In this school Christian and Muslims students study together. 2 Year back Peace pole was planted here. Mostly Mr. Yuel Bhatti being the Peace Pal Coordinator of (WPPS) teaches the Peace Education here in both school. The result of Peace Education is fruit full.
In Difference class the senior teacher Miss Komal Sehar and Mrs. Innocent explain the student about the The International Day of Peace-2006 and told them today we are celebration the Day of Peace in great zeal the spirit of Peace and love. Well, love always being with me and Peace of mind is only solution of to get better education. The Children also ask the some question from the Teacher

Mr. Mubrik Waris Principal of the School and Miss Komal Sehar and Mr. Yuel Bhatti answered the question in decently to the innocent children who are always feeling insecure. So Children Present Children Declaration Leader of Nation must sit together for the following resolution:

The Play group and Nursery class specially pray in the Candle light for the world peace and specially for Pakistan, Peace song songs sung to gather, Peace Poems and” May Peace Prevail on Earth” were also recite by the different classes together and afterward Peace walk round the School with holding the Play card as above mentioned. 3. Interfaith Peace Mushara (Poetry) and Peace Seminar
The Peace Mushara and Peace Seminar was held on 21.9.2006 at the 23-A Forman Christian College, Lahore.
The Function was presided over by the Dr. Kanwal Feroze (Prominent Poet and Scholar and Pioneer member of URI Pak.) Youth Award and Mr. Ayub Khawar District member Lahore was the Guest of honor.
The Guest of Honors was Mr. Ayub Khawar (District Member Lahore) and Miss Tania Illyas winner of Salam Pakistan Youth Award, awarded by the President Perwaz Mushraf.
Program was led by the prayers Pastor Asif Arthur, Executive member of PDF in Christian Faith, and Mr. Naeem Akhtar Raja, Executive member of PDF in Muslim Faith. The Master of the Ceremony was Mr. Javeed Aftab, prominent Poet.
 Welcome Address: Mr. Yuel Bhatti welcomed all guests and participants and explained about the International Day of Peace, declaration of UNO on the International Day of Peace and activities of the CC. He said the Poets always talk about the Peace and Harmony. Their text and poems always reflect Justice, healing, tolerance and acceptance. He said that we are intending to produce a cassette-CD for Children Peace Poems and Songs so I urge you all poets to join hand with us to send your Peace Poem. Mr. Bhatti said that special congratulations are to all Participants by Fr. James Channan, who is also busy in celebration of Day of Peace at Multan.
Peace Candle Enlightened.
The Peace Candle was enlightened by the Children, Mrs. Yuel Bhatti, Miss Tania Illays, and Dr. Kanwal Feroze.
All Christian and Muslims Prominent Poets, Specially Mr. Siddque Bhatti, Sajad Anwar, Mrs. Astana, Mr. Javed Aftab and Dr. Kanwal Feroze and others recited their Peace Poems reflecting light, shine for Peace and forget hate but tolerance and acceptance each other. The messages of poetry also reflect the interfaith dialog and religion for Peace. The audience appreciated his or her poetry and gave high tribute to every poet.

Said, that we are very much delighted to participate on the eve of International Day of Peace and Mr. Yuel Bhatti always hold significant event on 21st September every year involving the other organization and spreading the message of Peace. Today’s event is great when we are celebrating the day of Peace with people all over the world.Today the Poets messages thoroughly impressive and teaching about the Peace and harmony we will promote the messages specially WPPS prayer: “May Peace Prevail on Earth” we will spread the Prayer in our Organizations, Society and in our Families.
Mr. Samuel Paraya also announced that according to jury consisting Govt. Officials, Ministers, Justice and Agency report Mr. Yuel is winner of Quaid-E-Azam Gold Medal-2006 for In recognition of his outstanding services for serving the Nation specially promoting peace and harmony worldwide. The Gold Medal and Certificate will be awarded very soon in a very special ceremony. Peace cassette-CD for children will be very fruitful for coming new generation we will coordinate in the project.
Mr. Ayub Khawar: Said that I am so much inspired with the vision of URI and WPPS. Tehreek Taraqe-E-Insaniate CC and Peace and development Foundation is fulfilling the actual time indeed interfaith activities very well Being District Member of the City Government I will introduced the URI-Mission and “May Peace Prevail on Earth” is very powerful prayer we will spread the Prayer with join hand with Mr. Yuel Bhatti and his team. Dr. Kanwal Feroze said in his presidential address: Today’s event is very teaching and learning from each other about the Peace. We must learn the teaching from our Holy Books according to our faith and our life must be Peace and Love and live for others so frustration can be decreased with tolerance and acceptance. As regards the Days observed by the UNO is bit formality we must observe every day daily with our work, dedication, respect each other for love and Peace. I am very much impressed with the dedication of Mr. Yuel Bhatti and entire team of Tehreek Taraqe-E-Insainate–CC and Peace & Development Foundation for holding wonderful event of the Day of Peace with solidarity. Mr. Yuel’s idea and project about the Peace Cassette –CD for children is rather wonderful and will be very useful for our Children of Nation-Pakistan. Mr. Bhatti we will provide you the poetry and join hand will work on the project.
Cake Cutting Ceremony:
Cake was cut by joint hand Mr. Javeed Aftab, Dr. Kanwal Feroze, Mr. Ayub Khawar and Mr. Younis. And refreshment was served with cake.
4. Candle Rally:
 In the end, the Candle Rally was marched to Ch. Zahoor Elahi Road, location of the Chief Minister Residence, and came back.

Celebration of the International Day of Peace
at The Pastoral Institute Multan, Pakistan
 On 21st September 2006, at 3.30 PM over 100 distinguished guests and representatives of various organizations and faiths celebrated the International Day of Peace at the Pastoral Institute Multan Pakistan. The program was organized by the United Religions Initiative MCC Pakistan with the collaboration of the Pastoral Institute Multan.
It is with great joy that I would like to share this good news with you that the United Religions Initiative (URI-MCC) Pakistan organized a very colorful and befitting program to celebrate the International Day of Peace on 21st of September, 2006 at the Pastoral Institute Multan, Pakistan.
There were 35 different organizations that joined URI-MCC Pakistan to celebrate this IDP. Twenty Coordinators representing the whole URI Cooperation Circle (CC) network in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were present and took active part in it. Along with the national representation of the  URI there were several other Human Rights, promoters of peace and justice, women, children and laborers rights organization, Amnesty International, plus some religious organizations and youth leaders who took part and represented their groups.
The program began at 3.30PM with peace songs led by the young students of the Pastoral Institute, an introduction to the IDP event by Fr James Channan, with the release of pigeons as a symbol of peace. Following this was the Peace Walk and the day concluded with the Peace Conference in the Auditorium of the Pastoral Institute, with over 120 persons present.
 
The following activities took place inside this auditorium:
1. Word of welcome to the conference and history of the IDP by Miss Lubna Bashir
2. Readings from the Sacred Scriptures of different religions.
3. Observance of One Minute of Silence as suggested by Mr. Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the UN.
4. Lighting of the Peace candle by women and men of different religions.
5. Speeches on the need of peace, challenges and our role in promoting peace and harmony, and observation of the
IDP were presented by the following persons: Mr. Zubair Ahmed Farooq, Mr. Mushtaz Asad, Mrs. Zuhra Zaidi, Miss. Shaista Bukhari, Miss. Feroza Khan, Mrs. Yasmeen Haider Khan, Mr. Saaeedur Rehman, Miss. Lubna Bashir, Mr. Francis Daniel, Sr. Naseem George OP, Mr. Sohail Javed, Mr. Mahboob Sada.
Mr. Mahboob Sada presided over, whereas, Fr James Channan was the host and Miss. Lubna Bashir Stage Secretary. The message of Mr. Kofi Annan, Secretary General, UN on IDP was read. The congratulation messages from Mr. Hiroo Saioni, President Goi Peace Foundation, Ms. Yoland Trevino, Chairperson URI, Sally Mahe, Director, Organizational Development URI, Ms. Fumi Johns Stewart, Director, World Peace Prayer Society, Ms. Deborah Moldow, Member URI Global Council and Ex-Director of World Peace Prayer Society were read.
The Proclamation of Peace by the United Religions Initiative was also read. All these messages were received with great joy, appreciation and gratitude. Through these messages we felt very much united with the whole world. Thank you very much for your greetings and good wishes for our program! The photographers and press reporters from 10 different dailies and tv channels came to give coverage to our event. All local and national newspapers published from Multan and some from Lahore gave coverage to this event with reports and photos graphs. This way our celebration of the IDP reached millions of people in Pakistan and elsewhere.
I would like to inform you that our IDP program at the Pastoral Institute was the largest one which took place in Pakistan. No other government or private organization had arranged such an elaborate program. I wish our government would have advertised this IDP and declared public holiday on this day and that electronic and print media would have carried special programs on the need and urgency of this programs and its celebration.
