The Peace Awards were presented by the United Religions Initiative Pakistan to the following, Rt. Rev. William E. Swing, Rev. Canon Charles P. Gibbs, Ms. Yoland Trevino, Ms. Barbara Hartford, Ms. Sally Mahe, Ms. Monica Willard, Rev. Deborah Moldow, Mr. Ray Singer, Mr. Mark Manco and Ms. Sarah Talcott in recognition for their tremendous leadership and profound dedication for great work of URI.

The awards were presented by Fr. James Channan OP, Regional Coordinator Pakistan during the closing ceremony of Global Assembly 2008 (Nov-Dec) at Mayapur India Miss Shumila Bhatti presented her peace paintings. Sr. Sabina Rifat recites a peace poem. Mr. Yuel Bhatti and Mr. Akhter Murad were the host of the program.
